Wizkid, Obafemi Martins and Dammy Krane.
We can officially say the beef between Nigerian superstars Wizkid and Dammy Krane is over.
The beef started on January 12, 2016 when Dammy took to Twitter to call out Wizkid in a series of tweets of being a thief, then it got physical on January 15, 2016 when they met at Quilox night club, venue of the ‘All Black Party‘ organised by Super Eagles striker, Obafemi Martins.
Realizing
that the fight started at his party, Obafemi Martins took it on himself
to wade into the crisis as he invited both stars to his home to resolve
the beef.
He shared a group photo some moments ago on Instagram with the caption, ‘It all started at my party on Thursday at Quilox and settled here at my house Wizkid and Dammy Krane are cool’.

Jonathan threatened to cage me – Oshiomhole
Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has revealed how
former President Goodluck Jonathan threatened to cage him after May 29
for throwing his weight behind the candidature of President Muhammadu
Buhari in the last general elections.
Speaking at a meeting with APC leaders across the three Senatorial
Districts of Edo State on Thursday, a highly elated Oshiomhole said
“around this time last year, the tension in Nigeria was such that
Prophets of doom around the world were almost unanimous that Nigeria
would not survive 2015 but as you can see, man proposes, God disposes.
“Around this time last year, in January, a few weeks to the election,
many were saying quite recklessly on radio and television that we were
finished.
“The former President, Goodluck Jonathan told our National Chairman,
Chief John Odigie Oyegun to inform me that after the election, he will
put me, Adams, the son of Oshiomhole in a hole and I told Chief Oyegun
to inform him to dig that hole very deep because although I am short, in
the course of pushing me into the hole, nobody knows who will get there
first.
“Since he is taller than me, he needs to dig the hole deep enough so
that either of us can get in. In the end, he is inside the hole and I am
busy putting dust into that hole”.
Oshiomhole continued, “In this hall, around this time last year, we
held a meeting to share information about what was going on in various
local governments and the specific challenges in each of those local
government in order to fashion out appropriate response.
“Some of the statements that we shared in those meetings included
threats that by June, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole would have been impeached
because PDP would write results whether we liked it or not. They would
overrun the House of Assembly and once the House is proclaimed in June,
before the end of June, Comrade would be banished to his house in the
village and from there to prison.
“Those who made those threats, who supervised those processes, even
now in their early 90s are writing letters to explain how they shared
money meant for defence. Every evil weapon they fashioned against me did
not prosper and even the ones they are fashioning now will not
prosper.”
Reminding the party leaders of the journey so far and how the Party
has risen from ground zero to become the leading party in Nigeria,
Oshiomhole said, “When we came in about 7 years ago, my party had no
control even of one ward. We had no control of one local government, but
today, we control wards, local, state and by the special grace of God,
federal. Things have changed. The one who tamed a lion with bare hands,
now with automatic weapons, no antelope can dare us in our own forest.”
New Case Of Ebola Emerges In Sierra Leone
Sierra
Leone officials have confirmed a death from Ebola, hours after the
World Health Organization declared the latest West Africa outbreak over.
A spokesman at an Ebola Response Center in Sierra Leone, Sidi Tunis, said that the patient got sick at a town bordering Guinea.
Health officials are tracing anyone who may have had contact with the deceased.
The BBC reported that the country was declared free of the virus on
November 7, and the region as a whole, was cleared when Liberia was
pronounced Ebola-free on Thursday.
The new case was confirmed on Friday, hours after the WHO gave the region an all-clear.
It made the proclamation after Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea
halted the chain of transmission simultaneously for the first time.
The clearance was notable because it meant the three nations hardest
hit by the Ebola outbreak had reported zero cases for at least 42 days.
Close to 4,000 people have died of Ebola in Sierra Leone, and 11,000 people across the region, since December 2013.
Liberia was the last country to see the end of active transmission of
Ebola. But it had been declared clear twice before, only for the
infection to re-emerge.
A country is considered free of human-to-human transmission once two
21-day incubation periods have passed since the last known case tested
negative for a second time.
Evidence shows the virus can remain in the semen of male survivors
for as long as a year. In rare instances, it can be transmitted to
sexual partners.
Nigeria opposition spokesman charged with money laundering -agency
Jan 15 A spokesman for Nigeria's main
opposition party has been charged with money laundering
involving 400 million naira ($2 million) intended for defence
spending that the financial crimes agency said on Friday was
used to fund an election campaign.President Muhammadu Buhari's election victory in March ended
the rule of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) which had been
in power since Nigeria returned to civilian government in 1999.
Buhari says he wants to root out widespread corruption but
the PDP has accused the president of mounting a witch-hunt
against its members.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) said PDP
spokesman Olisa Metuh diverted funds through the office of the
National Security Adviser between November 2014 and March 2015
and used the money for PDP "campaign activities ... and other
personal purposes".
Metuh pleaded not guilty to seven counts of money laundering
at the capital Abuja's high court and was remanded in custody
until a bail hearing on Tuesday.
He is accused of colluding with former National Security
Adviser Sambo Dasuki, who also served under former President
Goodluck Jonathan and was charged with money laundering and
criminal breach of trust last month, to divert the funds.
Dasuki has also pleaded not guilty. He was arrested on Dec.
1 in relation to an investigation into a $2 billion arms deal.
Buhari called for Dasuki's arrest in November, accusing him
of stealing funds through phantom arms contracts and hampering
the fight against the Islamist militant group Boko Haram.
Separately, Buhari ordered the EFCC to investigate 38 former
military chiefs, officers and companies for alleged arms
procurement fraud, a presidency statement said on Friday.

Kaffy Dancer says anger got the best of Olamide at Headies 2016
Kaffy speaks on Olamide's rant at the Headies, and says the rapper allowed his anger get the best of him
Celebrity dance instructor Kaffy, 35, has spoken about Olamide's infamous stage rant at the 2016 edition of the Headies on January 1, 1960.
Kafayat Oluwatoyin Ameh
said she did not witness what happened or stage or the green room for
the artistes because she was in her own green room. She stated she was
not happy about the incident and she does not condone Olamide's
behaviour.
Olamide at Headies 2016
"Fortunately for
me I was not anywhere near that area. I was waiting in my green room. I
heard the scenario. I am not happy about it. I remember a couple of
years back when I introduced Olamide to the Hip TV family so for me I
will not condone any kind of behaviour in that manner" said Kaffy in an interview with Hip TV.
She further said Olamide reacted the way he did because of anger, and rap star Olamide is not that type of person.
"Whether
you are justified or not it's not what we want young people to emulate,
even though we are angry, we want to find a way to contain it. I am
sure he is sorry about it. He is not that kind of person. The person I
know is not that kind of person. So he probably allowed anger to take
over him for a moment, and that moment was all over the world
unfortunately, but I am sure it is not going to happen again."
At the 2016 Headies Olamide ranted and cussed on stage because his artiste did not win the coveted Next Rated category.
According to reports the rapper and his crew vandalized the green room for artistes at the award ceremony.
After storming out of the awards, Olamide blasted superstar Nigerian producer Don Jazzy on Twitter for a comment he had made when he was stage collecting his Special Recognition award.
The pair quickly settled their differences in a meeting organized by Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote.
Kaffy was the co-host of The Headies alongside Bovi.
René Angélil,
the husband of and mentor-manager who helped make Canadian
singer Céline Dion a mega star, has died after a years-long battle with
throat cancer. He was 73.
The news was confirmed on Dion's website
Thursday where a statement announced Angélil died at their home in Las
Vegas "after a long and courageous battle against cancer. The family
requests that their privacy be respected at the moment; more details
will be provided at a later time."

Dion,
47, told USA TODAY in August, after months of caring for her dying
husband, that she promised him she'd be there until the end, to support
"the only boyfriend I've ever had."
Her husband's death culminates
a remarkable openness by Dion about Angélil's struggles and her
response to living with and facing the inevitable end.
"And René
says to me, 'I want to die in your arms.' OK, fine, I'll be there,
you'll die in my arms," she said in an emotionally intense interview
just before returning to the Strip for another extended run on her Vegas
residency.
Dion cancelled her shows at The Colosseum this weekend
but is scheduled to be back as planned on Feb 23, according to Caesar's
Palace.
USA TODAY
Celine Dion: Rene hopes to 'die in my arms'
"It
is impossible to overstate the impact René and of course Céline have
had on the history of entertainment in Las Vegas and at Caesars Palace,
with his audacious vision regarding her residency, now 13 years and
counting," Gary Selesner, president of Caesars Palace, said in a
statement. "René was truly an amazing human being, showman and
businessman, and over these many years became a loved and cherished
member of the Caesars Palace family."
Added John Nelson, senior
vice president of AEG Live, "(Rene) and Céline were so devoted to each
other, their relationship has been a model for us all."
Dion met
Angélil when she was 12, and he later became her manager and, in 1994,
her husband. They have three children: René-Charles, 14, and 5-year-old
twins, Nelson and Eddy.
Angélil also has three adult children from his two previous marriages: Patrick, Jean Pierre and Anne Marie.
Angélil
had been ill for years, and on a feeding tube for the last two years,
Dion said in August. After a series of procedures in Boston hospitals,
he was back living at the family's Las Vegas home.
After a year long hiatus to care for her ailing husband René
Angélil, Celine Dion says she's returning to center stage at Caesar's
Palace in Las Vegas because "he wants me out there."
USA TODAY
He suffered a heart attack in 1992 and was diagnosed with malignant cancer, after finding a lump on his neck, in 1998.
"We
have asked (doctors) many times, how long does he have, three weeks,
three months? René wants to know," she says. "But they say they don't
know."
Dion said she dutifully took notes during talks in which Angélil spelled out the details of his funeral service.
"Don't
forget, he's been the leader of the band all my life," she says, having
masterminded her career to the tune of 220 million albums sold. "So it
(hacks) him off to not see me all day and over here (at Caesar's palace)
working. But he wants me to do this, do the show, do the interviews.
But he freaks when I'm not home with him, too."
Born in Montreal
of Syrian and Lebanese descent, Angélil started out as a pop singer in
the 1960s in French Canada's largest city.
Later, he turned to
artist management, and in 1980 discovered Dion when her brother sent him
her demo tape. The two began a relationship in 1987, when she was 19
and he was 45. They got engaged in 1991 and in married in Montreal's
Catholic basilica at the end of 1994.
Whatever else Dion is
remembered for — and her musical legacy is considerable — she'll also be
remembered for her fortitude on behalf of her husband, and her grace in
showing the world how it's done.
"When you see someone who is
fighting so hard, it has a big impact on you," she told USA TODAY. "You
have two choices. You look at your husband who's very sick and you can't
help, and it kills you. Or you look at your husband that's sick and you
say, 'I got you. I got it. I'm here. It's going to be just fine.'
"You
can have your shaking knees at the end, but when someone you love falls
and needs help, it's not time to cry," she says. "Afterwards, sure. But
not yet."
While his death was not a surprise, fans, friends and admirers tweeted mournfully.
